Journey, Jewelry, and Art
Born and raised in upstate New York, outings with my father first taught me to observe the natural world around me. A talented amateur artist himself, he gave me some of my earliest lessons in drawing. But it was only after I was married and my husband and I moved to Oregon, that I began to paint more seriously. I had dabbled in oils and acrylics early in, but watercolor and pastels have been my true voice. I also appreciate graphite as a medium for expression. And most recently, I have added silversmithing, creating one of a kind pieces of jewelry. In every case, the beauty of the world around me, are the inspiration for fulfilling the need to create that has been in me since childhood.
