Alice Deutsch

Alice Deutsch Fine Art

Alice Deutsch is a sculptor who likes to focus on ballet dancers, classically posed

nudes, and portraits in bronze. After a lifetime in New York, she moved to Central

Oregon last summer, and is starting to incorporate Western themes to her art. A

reclining Cowgirl will soon be cast in bronze, and a Cowboy leaning on a fence is almost

completed in oil-based clay. Alice enjoys hiking, kayaking and snowshoeing in the many

surrounding lakes and mountains. She has studied at the Sculpture Center in NYC, the

Classical Art School of Long Island and the Art League of Long Island. When

commissioned to create a portrait, the subject does not need to be available for long

hours of posing, as she can work from a photo shoot. Sculptures are created using oil-

based clay on an armature and then cast in bronze for the finished result.

Alice is a member of the National Sculpture Society, the Pacific Northwest Sculptors

Association and the Dry Canyon Artists Association.
