Alice Deutsch Fine Art

Alice Deutsch is a sculptor who likes to focus on ballet dancers, classically posed nudes, and portraits in bronze. After a lifetime in New York, she moved to Central Oregon last summer, and is starting to incorporate Western themes to her art. A reclining Cowgirl will soon be cast in bronze, and a Cowboy leaning on a fence is almost completed in oil-based clay. She has studied at the Sculpture Center in NYC, the Classical Art School of Long Island and the Art League of Long Island. When commissioned to create a portrait, the subject does not need to be available for long hours of posing, as she can work from a photo shoot. Sculptures are created using oil-based clay on an armature and then cast in bronze for the finished result. Alice is a member of the National Sculpture Society, the Pacific Northwest Sculptors Association and the Dry Canyon Artists Association.
